[SOLVED] Is my cpu temp ok

Solution
Everything seems just a bit high (unless the ambient temp is 90f where you are):), but not dangerous.

I would say go on to stress testing the CPU to see what results you come up with, but unless the room temp is 35c+, you may look for better case and/or CPU cooling. If your case has any unused fan slots, get some fans to help with intake or exhaust. If it's in a case that doesn't have the opportunity for good airflow, then transfer to a better case. Aftermarket CPU air coolers, even at $25, can make a huge difference over stock.

It seems a bit high for idle, but not dangerous. What are the load temps?

Related: what kind of case is it in, and how many/what kind/where are the case fans? Also, has the CPU cooler been cleaned out lately with compressed air?

OK, it's not a dangerous temp....but you should definitely look into it more under load before you go about gaming or some other more strenuous task without keeping an eye on your temperatures for a long period of time. There are many tools out there, but I like this one for quick checks:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/desktop-boards-software-extreme-tuning-utility.html

Use the benchmark, which is very short in duration, to see what kind of results you get for max temperature. This will reveal what your temps will look like under load. NOTE: It will throttle the CPU if the temp goes too high, so will protect itself, but you can also stop the test as well.

It's possible that you don't have a good seat with your cooler, and will need to take it off, clean it off, reapply the TIM and try again (it happens)......but let's see how it acts under load first.
