I bought a new gaming pc 3 days ago. Today I was playing CS:GO. I heard 2 loud pops. Pc shut down and wont reboot. If i tried to switch it on again only 1 light on my case lighted up. I could smell burning near my PSU. I unplugged everything and havent done anything since.
Specs:
AMD FX-8350 8 Cores 125W
8 GB DDR3
4 GB GeForce GTX960 DDR5
980DE3 ASRock USB3 SATA3
500 W PSU. Cant find the name right now.

Solution
I would say a blown PSU can definitely cause everything else on the mobo to burn out.. CPU, Mobo and RAM. The drives should be ok though. You may want/need to send the whole unit back.
Did you at least try jumpering the power suppy to make sure that it is what is dead? quick way to do so is to unplug all the power cables and then find the main ATX power cord and jump the 1 green wire with a black wire (there are several and it doesn't matter which one) with a paper clip. If it turns on the power supply then move on to checking voltages with a multimeter..

Here is a video of someone doing the paperclip trick.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=co2RizQ8U2k
