Here is the setup and what I have tried.

i5 with a 750ti (brand new, just installed it this evening) with latest drivers.
HP Lp3065
HP 2711x

Here is what works.

Video Card > DVI-D > 2711x
Video Card > HDMI > 2711x
Video Card > HDMI > DVI Converter > LP3065 (1280x800 resolution)

What does not work.

Video Card > DVI-D > LP3065 (The Computer recognizes the display, and the display acts like it knows it's plugged in, only there is no image)
Video Card with both HDMI > 2711x and DVI > LP3065. Neither Displays, the 2711x says the resolution is out of range and needs to be lowered.

I have tried waiting for windows to boot to turn the monitor on, still nothing.
I have uninstalled the monitor driver, rebooted, nothing.

I am currently using the LP3065 to post this using the HDMI to DVI converter. So the monitor does work.

Unless. There is a way for the monitor to be broken in such a way that it does not accept higher resolution signals?

Well, the LP3065 was an excellent monitor - but it is old. The only inputs that is has are dual link DVI. It sounds like the cable that you are using is a single link DVI cable, that is why it is displaying at half resolution and having these issues when you try and run both monitors at the same time.

There is a quick forum post that includes what the connectors look like at:

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2415465/monitor-support-dvi-dual-link-benefits-dvi-single-link.html

You should use a dual link DVI cable to make the LP3065 work correctly; either a dual link DVI-I or DVI-D cable should work fine.

If you try and use an HDMI to DVI converter on the LP3065, it will have to be a dual link converter as well. Otherwise you will still have these problems.

Just leave the 2711x plugged in by HDMI and you should be all set.

Good luck!

The cable is a Dual Link DVI-D, and I confirmed it works by using it on the 2711x.

Im getting half resolution because I am using HDMI to a DVI converter. Not the Dual Link DVI cable.

I started getting artifacts on my 2711x and it was turning off and on. I think the PSU is going. Im going to grab a new one tomorrow and hope that fixes something.

The 2711x only needs single link DVI to work correctly, since its native resolution is only 1920 x 1080. What is the model number of the video card that you are using? It would help to know this.

Hopefully things will improve with the new power supply.
