Hi

I know this cpu is very old:D but I still use it and i would like to oc it. i I don't know a lot about oc but I tried to oc it to 3 ghz (9*333) but windows won't boot and simetimes I get bluescreen(i think this has something to do with ram?). So I set it back to stock speed, and i couln't find a helpful tut on youtube cuz their bios is different than mine.

Here's how my bios looks like:

ok sorry for late reply, i found the cpu stepping its B, revision G0

so here are the new setting with 2.79GHz:

i tried to do 9*320 the first time it worked but then i got bluescreen saying MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and graphics card driver didn't work, so i set it back to 9*310 and its now fine. do u think i can go any higher (even if i get a better cpu cooler)? do i then have to change memory settings?

btw is this where i can change pci/pci-E frequency? if so should i change pci latency timer to 100?:

Overclocking the Q6600 using a stock cooler is a very bad idea, I suggest you cease and desist your overclocking attempts until you can get a good after market cooler.

While you are waiting study the guide I've linked below, a cooler on the performance level of a
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO will work just fine.
It is the same quality level of cooler I used to get my Q9550 to 4ghz.
