Hello. My setup looks like this at the moment.

Intel Core i7-4790K
Noctua NH-D15
ASRock Fatal1ty Z97X Killer
ASUS GTX 970 STRIX OC
16GB HyperX Savage DDR3 2400MHz CL11 (4x4GB / 2 dual channel 8gb kits)
ADATA Premier Pro SP900 256GB
Western Digital Blue 1TB SATA-III 7200 RPM 64MB
Corsair HX650 650W

Just upgraded to the i7 4790K. Coming from i5 4690K.
The i5 had no problems with the ram, could OC from UEFI to 4.6GHz with no problem (the mobo turbo 4.6 preset), with XMP1 memory profile (2400MHz).

Now on the i7 i'm experimenting a weird problem. If i enable XMP profile 1 which puts the memory to 2400mhz and open prime95 on small FFTs, in 10 seconds it jumps to 100*C, and the BSoD appears: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR.

The system is stable just with default CMOS settings, which means 1600MHz ram and prime95looks like this: the i7 reaches just 4.2GHz (in desktop it reaches 4.4GHz), temps reach 85-90*C.

The cooler is mounted correctly, just remounted it yesterday, applied new thermal compound which is Noctua NT-H1, verified the backplate and everything.

Made a Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool and the result is PASS.
Made a memtest86 at 1600MHz -> no errors
Made a memtest86 at 2400MHz -> no errors

I forgot the BIOS version. Had ver. P2.20, updated to ver. P2.40 which was released 2 days ago: works the same. I selected the BIOS_2 on the mobo, which is ver. P1.50 (never touched that BIOS, that's the BIOS which the mobo had it when i bought it) works the SAME.

Have no idea what to do... The temps are too high, the memory isn't working as he should... I know how to apply the thermal compound and how to install a cooler. On the i5 i had no problems. Please help me. Thanks in advance for any advice. Have a great day.

How are the sets individually? These are meant to be run as a package of two sticks, when you mix sets (packages) there are no guarantees they will play nice - even with the exact same model. That's why a 4 stick package often cost a little more than two packages of two sticks, it takes more testing to put together a four stick package that will all play nice. More in my article (part 2, Fiction, Item 2) here:

You might try a slight OC on the CPU and/or raise the MC (memory controller) voltage a tad, maybe +0.06 (the the MC voltage is CPUVTT or DDRVTT on your mobo)

The sets are installed on the mobo as they came in the box. The second set of memory is bought after 2 weeks after i bought the first one.
First set is installed on the red slots and the second set is installed on the black slots. I will try to raise the voltage and come back with an answer.
