installing an old pc game

I have a dell inspiron and im trying to install an old 2000 game called "hunting unlimited". Every time I click install the disk sound like its revving up but then does nothing, like literally nothing happens. I've tried disabling all my firewalls, running as administrator, going into the file and using setup, and on different compatibility settings. I've even bought another version of the game but I have the same problem. Any ideas, Thanks so much for your time in advance.

What OS are you using?
You can try booting it in safe mode and then installing it, also if the game is dos compatible you can try installing it through dosbox.

I assume you are using either windows vista,7,8,or 10. You can find out which by going to control panel and doing a search for System. This gives you your basic system information.
