[SOLVED] cpu pump speed

Solution
It is always advised NOT to change the pump speed. However, you probably could change it in one of two ways.

1. if the pump has a 4-pin, PWM connection, then you can regulate it through the BIOS settings for the CPU Fan header or whichever header you connected the pump to. Ditto if your BIOS supports fan speed regulation through voltage control and you have a 3-pin connector.

2. Connect the header to a voltage regulator, or wire it up in series with a resistor to reduce voltage. I'd not recommend this at all, since your pump may not speed up when it is necessary to increase cooling.
