I thought this might be easy. When I bought my Clevo I didn't realize it wasn't going to load Windows 7 or 8. I just got the machine yesterday. Anyone have experiecne fresh loading Windows 10 on a brand spanking new Skylake? Please point me in the right direction to getting it done right?

Yes, if you don't currently have a valid product key for a retail version of windows 7 on that particular machine, or Windows 8 at all, you're going to need to purchase the OS and then install, like USAFRet said.

Do you have a retail version of Windows 10 or are you trying to install the free version from the upgrade ISO? If you're trying to install the free version, you need to install 7 or 8 first, then upgrade, then activate, then wipe it all out by doing a clean install. It's probably also a good idea to go to the Clevo product page for your model and download any listed Windows 10 drivers first for use after installing Windows 10. Most the Microsoft certified drivers leave much to be desired as compared to any manufacturer supplied Windows 10 drivers developed specifically for your hardware.

Thanks. I installed 8.1 and I am having some problems. First I ahd the multiple upgrade re-boot then I got a problem where it wouldnt shut down and now It's coming up to a black screen. In the last couple weeks it mostly worked real well, but now I havent been able to use it since two days ago.
