Hello guys,

My laptop is Dell Inspiron n5110, I have 4GB DDR3 1333 MHz Ram.

I want to upgrade my memory
with another 4 GB memory. Specially I am buying this one http://www.computersourcebd.com/apacer/memory+module%28ram%29/ram-notebook-apacer-4gb-1600-bus-low-voltage-1-35v-_2136.html

But I had previous bad experience about upgrading RAM. It was with another computer, when i added another 1GB memory the system wont start or boot. But when I took out the memory it started again.

Need help from the Expert panel.. :)

Best thing to do would be to use a system scanner like the one on crucial.com to see what products are compatible.
In terms of mixing RAM I'd advise against it although it can work sometimes. You're better off tossing the old RAM away and buying a new kit of 2x4GB RAM. Your system will be far more stable, less stress on memory controller and less likely to run into problems.

+1 Also those scanners are just for the system - they don't take in mixing your old with what they 'suggest'
