This is my gaming rig. I want to be able to play AAA titles 1080p at more than 60fps.

Can I get away with using a GTX960 4GBDDR5 instead of the GTX970 without affecting the quality of gaming? Also, can someone please suggest a case for this build. My budget for the case is around $50.

BioShock Infinite
1920 x 1080 - Ultra preset + DX11 (DDOF)
GeForce GTX 970
107.6 fps
GeForce GTX 960
75.8 fps

Crysis 3
1920 x 1080 - Very High preset + 16xAF + 2xSMAA
GeForce GTX 970
50.6 fps
GeForce GTX 960
36.1 fps

I would personally go with the 970. The 960 is a great budget card, so if you need to save money thats one thing, but the 970 will perform much better.

For your budget needs take a look at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= which gets you a 20$ rebate card.

As for the case the Corsair Carbide 200 is $69.99. Antek three hundred two is $59.99.

For real value check Zalman. The Z1 with 2 120mm fans is $29.99. The Zalman Z3 Plus in white is sharp and only $45. The Z11 neo is $55. Check out the line of Zalman cases they are the best value I've ever seen. I own a Zalman case for my Wife's computer, and I've built probably 50 other computers using Zalman cases and I never had a complaint. I've always said they are a $100 case being sold for $50 and the plus model comes with all the fans and dust filters.

I was a dealer way back 15 years ago when Zalman was THE manufacturer of high end heat sinks and they had the overclocking RAM. They had a monopoly on the market till everyone else got into the game. They still hold a place in my heart and I may be a bit biased towards them :)

Playing a game at more then 60FPS is a moot point when the TV's refresh rate is only 60Hz, if you have a TV with a refresh rate of 120Hz or higher than you will be able to reap the benefits of playing a game with frame speeds greater than 60FPS

With the processor you have chosen I think a GTX 960 4GB card would be perfect. It should play your games on very high to max settings, depending on game, of course.

If you decide to still go with the GTX 970, which is still a very good choice but cost about $100 more, then I would go with a 600W power supply. The 500W will work with a GTX 970, and if that was all I already had in my computer and I wanted to upgrade my video card, I would use that, but that is the absolute minimum wattage for that card, and you must make sure it will do 28A on the 12V+ rail (most likely will). But with a new build where I might add other things in the future, or upgrade that video card to something better later, I would like to start out with a bit more supplied power. My personal preference, of course...
