USB 3.0 Front Panel not working.

Hello,
I vaguely remember this, but I think a while ago I installed some Via USB 3.0 driver and the front panel USB actually worked, but then at some point it stopped working. When I bought my components from pcpartpicker, they said that my motherboard does not support front panel USB, when clearly it has a socket for it. But, when I plug in the connector for the USB 3.0 to the socket on the motherboard, it literally does nothing. Do I possibly need to reinstall those Via drivers? Or enable something in the bios? Yes it's only one USB, but that seems to be one USB that I really need to use because I've used all my other ones.

That link isn't valid.

Try downloading the 3.0 drivers again and repost tour build link.

You are correct, you'll need to install the correct motherboard USB 3 drivers to get those front panels working. Your Pcpartpicker list was blank for me so I can't link your motherboard support page for you, but that is almost certainly what you need to do.

Try going to your motherboard's support page. You can find this by typing in the make/ model of your motherboard into any search engine. From there, look for downloads/ drivers and select the ones that specify USB connectivity.

Updated the link, it should work now. I will try install the drivers from the CD, but if they don't make the USB work, would ones from the web work?

I don't see 3.0 listed on internal headers.

And no 3.0 drivers on site.

On the motherboard itself, the header has been labelled F_USB30 which I assume is for Front USB 3.0

Update: I tried looking for the Driver on the CD, but turns out my CD drive isn't even being recognised...

As far as I remember, the VIA USB 3.0 driver was on the CD, which I can't seem to go on right now, but that's apparently the only driver . But the back panel USB 3.0's work fine.

Hold on a minute, the PCPartPicker doesn't have my motherboard for whatever reason, I don't know why it is a different model on there, it shouldn't be because when I went to buy it, it gave me a link to GA-78LMT-USB3, and not GA-78LMT-S2, so I apologise for false information there.

Installed, made no difference. I really need to try and get the one from the CD that came with the motherboard but I can't because since I updated to Win 10, my CD drive isn't being recognised.

10 is the issue , because they don't list any 10 drivers , will they install in compatibility mode.

Right had click the exec and pick Troubleshoot compatibility , let in run then choose "worked with earlier versions of windows" and pick the OS you had.

Might work , but maybe not.

Windows won't locate a driver through device manager either?

Well, in my device manager it says that I have this driver installed. However, apparently this does not affect the front USB panel by the looks of it.
