I'm thinking of a new build before the end of the year....

I'm creating this thread because I'm interested in opinions and what performance is like with others running 3 rog swift monitors at 1440X7680. I'm curious about GTA 5 and the Witcher 3 with all graphics options set to ultra (maximum) including hairworks and all the other goodies. I'm also curious about how well the swifts perform when gaming at other resolutions. Can I run them at 5760X1080 if I want for games? I'm sure I will have more questions and any input is appreciated.... Not that it really matters, but I will also be using the pc as a home studio for recording music....

I keep going back to the 980ti, but I'm a little worried about the possibilities of adding ENB mods to Fallout 4 when it comes along. I might just need that Vram.... All hypothetical of course.

That's good to know that you seem sure of yourself. It sure would save some money. I'm going to think about it some more for sure. I'll probably purchase the cards last.

thx

In all likelyhood you will need the extra video RAM especially with high res textures. The 980ti only has 6GB and stock games are already using more then 4GB at times.

Also I'm not sure one titan is enough unless you're at 1080p and its a toss up whether the 8 core CPU will be of more benefit of the i7-6700k's clock speed will be.

Games will have no trouble at 5760x1080 if you're actually getting three Titan X cards and the high VRAM capacity would actually be useful at such high levels.

Running three 1440p monitors, performance will still be great, at least in current games even with settings maxed out. However, very heavy mods and/or some new games might be pushing the limits even with that much graphics power.

Just for grinz, I configured that on PCPartPicker

I think you're short on RAM, it will be interesting to see you mount the 3 TitanX coolers in addition to the EK cooler, and it will be rather noisy. You may also need a few more intake fans, depending on how you're planning to mount all of this.

Price-wise? Hmpf.

Actually, I wasn't being funny. You have 3x12GB of graphics memory. There isn't a 1-1 correspondence, but I'd still be wondering if you'd be safe with "only" 32 GB. In the greater scheme of this machine, would it really hurt to get more RAM?

Mounting issues - hose and lengths to suitable mounting spots given that you also have that EK radiator to be mounted somewhere.in addition to all the cables, there will be 8 radiator hoses cluttering up the airflow in the case.

Noise - 3 fans on the EK waterblock, right? 3 fans on the graphics radiators. Depending on the abouve mounting issues, you may not be able to mount then as you wish (I'd want them all to exhaust hot air), so you will also need at least an additional 6 fans for intakes. That makes 12 fans that make noise.

Yuu will need a fan controller, since I've not seen any mobo that has that many fan headers. oh yea, the graphics fans don't need headers, they mount on the cards, but that still leaves you with 9 fans you will have to connect somewhere. and that's more cable clutter.

where we run into trouble is in mounting video cards. Simply put, the reservoir plate just doesn't seem to be especially well thought out. Our GTX 580s aren't unusually long for the types of high end video cards you'd expect to find a home inside the Enthoo Primo, but you have to remove the top part of the reservoir plate just to get clearance for one card. Installing a second or third card necessitates removing the plate entirely, and it's obvious the notch in the plate for high end cards just isn't lined up where it needs to be.
