Weirdly, I can't use a software command from within Windows 10 to restart my Z170 Pro Gaming, it does the turn off part, but steadfastly refuses to do the restart bit. The light on the front of the case stays on, as does the CPU cooler, but for some reason it doesn't complete the turning off process. If you hold the power button down for around 5 secs then it stops, and can then be restarted. It will come on OK if you press the start button on the case. If you choose shutdown from within Windows it works perfectly. Everything else appears normal. Chip is 6700k with Corsair H80i GT cooler.

'm in the same problem of you, I have the same mobo and cpu, but after heavy session of usage, gaming... I can't shutdown my computer, the screen turn off but the cpu cooler still on and all other fans, I have to force shutdown with power button, starting it again doesn't show errors or bad shutdown, I have no idea how to resolve this problem :/

When first I got my mother board, BIOS version was 1102, I've updated it to the latest version till now with the last version 1105, last days, I've deleted all AISuite 3 software and Asus apps, and since, I can shutdown properly, no issues

do you use AISuite 3 ?
