First time pc builder here, with the help of a detailed youtube tutorial i manged to finish the build..or so i thought..
Pressed the on button and a the reset led flashed on briefly and.....thats it...no fans..nothing.
After checking all the connectors many times i tried again...and same thing happened. I then took out the motherboad and realised that i hadn't installed it perfectly the first time and forgot to add one or two standoffs. After reinstalling the motherboard i tried again and the same thing happened. I went through the entire checklist provided on this site and couldnt find the solution. My first doubts were the psu so i tried the paper clip test and it didnt work, so i then got it replaced with a working psu and the same problem still persists. Im thinking the problem is something to do with the motherboard. My friend who builds computers said i may have short circuited but im not sure what this entails. Does this mean i may need to replace most of my parts? Any help would be appreciated..
