I just bought 4 Kingston Valueram 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, CL9 memories for my Asus Maximus Gene iii motherboard. User guide has info that it supports max 16GB memory. I dont even get to the bios, it only gets stuck to the beginnig and shows Asus logo and Press Del to get bios setting. If I press del or Tab nothing happens. I tried with one memory, two memory and four memory stick but the same thing happens every time. I changed back to my Corsair 2 GB (x4 = 8GB) and everything works again. Do I have to forget the dream of the 16 GB memory. I really need it. Or do I have to buy a new motherboard?

Solution
May simply not be compatible, your Gene is an 1156 mobo, which was back when all DRAM was made with 'low' density memory ICs. The current lines of DRAM use high density ICs and aren't comapatible with the older 775, and 1156 mobos (unless the mobo makers made some big changes in the BIOS and few to any did/have. . Might return them and look at GSkill NT line of value DRAM or their original Ripjaws lines of sticks - those use low density ICs

Thank you for your answers. Bios is up to date but I havent ever tried CMOS reset. Can it be done by taking bios battery off for a while because I cant find jumper from motherboard.

I tried both suggestion above (enabled xmp profile and lowered it to the 1333mhz, and reset the cmos and tried with new memories) and sadly didn't work. It shows different asus logo and text under "republic of gamers" and under that is "Press DEL to run Setup, Press TAB to display BIOS POST message", but nothing happens...what ever I try to press (stuck). There is GO button for memory on the motherboard, but nothing happens with that. Previous working memories are 4 Corsair 2GB 1600mhz memories.

Seller said that these kingston memories should work on this motherboard but ok, that sounds good that theGSkill might have proper memories. Thank you for your suggestion.
