Hi guys. I installed a Samsung SSD 850 Pro into my old notebook HP 4510s. I changed it for the original Toshiba HDD. Problem is, that I only get these speeds:
Read: 260 MB/s
Write: 245MB/s

Can anybody explain this please?

Solution
That is because it is only SATA II which only goes up to 300MBps and not SATA III that does the Full 600. The speeds you are getting are the best you will get with any SSD. It has nothing to do with the SSD but with the laptop itself and no you can NOT upgrade the SATA on the laptop. Just stuck with what you are getting or return the SSD
