My cpu (i7 4790k) is showing idle temps between 44-55 degrees Celsius.
Whenever I play a steam game my computer will freeze within 10 minutes, I'll get a blue screen with "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR" and my pc will reset.
The only thing I have recently changed was my motherboard, I purchased a MAXIMUS VI EXTREME motherboard and swapped everything over.
At first I thought it was an issue with the thermal paste. So I reapplied the thermal paste, nothing changed. I reapplied it again with a different method. Nothing again.
I have even gone as far as to purchase a new stock heatsink (exactly like the one I had before) with the paste pre-applied and tried it. Nothing...The temps are still 45-55C while IDLE!
What else could be causing this??
