Hi,

This is my first post so if I miss something please tell me. I build my computer myself (first time) and when I got the thing running I noticed that the audio ports at the back (the ones directly on the motherboard) don't wok properly. The sound that comes out is all muffled and weird. The weird stuff is the audio ports on the front of my case are working fine.

The problem is sometimes I start the PC up and the audio is off and I can't get it on. So the question is, would this be solved if I added a dedicated audio card? And could I do that relatively cheap?

I can look up the exact name of all the components if that is necessary :)

Ty

So the add on sound card would solve the problem? And yes could have sent it back, but I was happy it worked in general and didn't want to remove the central piece off the computer after I put such work into building it
