What if I am playing games at much higher settings? I am trying to get really high graphics and stuff for what I have, and I might be putting in a second 970 or even just upgrading to a 980 latter on.

Yep, the 2666 will still be all you need for that in terms of RAM frequency. CAS latency is just as important as the frequency in terms of how quickly your RAM runs in your system, so try to find RAM that has a low CAS latency.

Edit: Post corrected for invalid information. My apologies, I was still basing my CAS recommendations on DDR3 technology.

You currently won't find DDR4 with a single digit CAS. 10 is the lowest i've seen and it was on ddr4 2133.

Yes the GSkill Ripjaws V are very good, I have a set of the 3000 2x8GB I picked to get my 6600K/Z170 Hero running, while waiting for the Trident Z to be released. So have the RipJaws V on the side now am running the 32GB set of 3200 Trident Z (the Tri Z are their (GSkill's top of the line and extremely good also) ;)
