I've been trying to get my PS3 controller to work on my PC and I've done the exact steps all the You Tube videos have shown me, yet nothing seems to work. I've been using dem SCP drivers or whatever instead of motioninjoy (because apparently it's dangerous) So I was wondering if someone could please help me out, because sometimes the You Tube videos aren't clear enough on what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

It still doesn't work, I did everything I said (hopefully, the instructions were kinda hard to understand)
Could you maybe tell me how to install it step by step in layman's terms?

I've read the instructions, at first some of it didn't make sense, I'm trying again, putting the file in my C drive and clicking the download application.

I'm using it wired, and when I click on the application, everything starts up fine as far as I can see.
I will try the analyzer.

And you can confirm that the PS3 controller itself does actually work on a PS3 right?

Here's so some simple (but don't actually explain what to do) steps:

1. Connect PS3 controller to PC.
2. Run ScpDriverInstaller.exe
3. Restart computer.
4. Open Task Manager, and make sure the process ScpService is running. If it's not run the ScpService.exe from the install folder.
5. Run SCPmonitor.exe, it should show your controller is connected.
6. Right click on the ScpMonitor icon in your TaskBar (like where the Volume icon and the Internet icon are) and choose Input Tester.
7. Press the buttons on your controller and you should see them respond on screen.
8. Play a xbox360 controller compatible game.

I can't actually get SCPService to run, and on ScpMonitor it doesn't show a connected, working controller.
Only bin shows on task manager when it's open. I just restarted the computer now and still none of it works.

Is your login account an admin account?
What do you mean you can't get it to run?
Try running ScpServer.exe that also starts the service and opens a monitor.
And check the Services tab and make sure the "Ds3service" with the description of "SCP Dx Service" is there and not disabled, preferably set to Automatic start.

Listen man, I don't know if it's because I did something wrong, or my computer just doesn't like any of this. Whatever the reason, I can't find the ds3service in the services tab, ScpService (that does not end with .exe) will not start up.

Do you have Skype so I can share screens with you? Cause this is something I really kinda sorta want. I don't wanna invest in an Xbox 360 controller. (even if it is used)
