Hello all, im looking to build myself a gaming pc. My budget is $1750. I hope to get max fps and graphics out of this pc that can run any games (like dayz) and my monitor is 1080px1920.

Would anyone be able to help me find the best parts for this pc?

I was leaning towards "i7 4970k" for CPU and the "Zotac GTX 980 Ti" for GPU. Any thoughts?

Thank you :)

i would do this and modify it to your needs http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gPV7xr the core i7 platform is really made for novice content creators the i5 in gaming is about 3-5% slower then the i7 and is 100$ less

That's not necessarily true anymore - games and VR tech are definitely starting to take advantage of higher end processors and especially if you plan to move to 1440P and 4K monitors, you will want that extra processing power. If you plan on using Oculus or something similar the i5 is the minimum requirement, the i7 will be what you want, but for 1080P the i5 is fine.

You don't really need to spend $2K for 1080P. I can play GTA V maxed out at 1080P on a $1200 build with a GTX 970 - that is really all you need. If you are...

I would do something like this:

Thank you all of your answers. Would the i5 at 3.5 GHz be enough tho? because im looking to get most fps out of games like dayz or Ark survival.

Also from your list g-unit, if i changed the cpu to the i7 4970k and the Video card to an MSI Gtx 970, would i have to change any other parts? Like would those new parts be too good for the rest of the configuration? cheers
