My fps drops dramatically while gaming for a second and goes back up

GPU: SLI GTX 760's
CPU: AMD FX 9370
My fps goes down dramatically sometimes then goes back up. It drops to around 20 or so fps for about a split second then rises

yup thats what amd cpus are known for, overclock the cpu as much as possible and if you really want to fix it buy a i5 or i7

I'm not quite agree with cdabc123.
No need to mention AMD, even Intel CPU does the same issue in another condition.

What about the other games? Does it experience same issue like this?
What would I suspect first is your SLI setup, depends on the rest of system and the game itself some game aren't quite match-up with SLI setup and tends to running smooth with a single card.

there is a need to mention it considering this is a common issue with amd cpu's bottle-necking gpu's. poor sli support can also impact the performance of the computer.

The fps drops only occur in games that I use SLI in like Battlefield 4
