I've recently upgraded my Time Warner internet speed to a 30 Mbps down and a 5 mbps up, they gave me a cable Modem Router (which im starting to think its faulty because i bridged it to my own router which fixed my issue... for a short period). I've noticed that every device in the house have very slow video streaming and sometimes webpages take forever to load, but i can game just fine. I've found a temporary solution where i just disconnect and reconnect to my internet which increases video streaming speed for just 5 secs. I've tried speedtest and other types of test to see if the speed is just down, but the speed is as it should be. I've heard some companies throttle their customers, i dont know if this is the same scenario. I've looked all over the internet for a solution, but i cant find anything. Please help.

If by streaming you mean Netflix, I dunno at what stage does Netflix probes your bandwidth and decides what video quality to send you, you maybe have to re-register your devices to re-probe.

If webpages are slow too, then you have another thing going. Yep, no fan of double-routing, if second router WIFI, you just want to set it up as an AP.

When i said video streaming, i meant youtube, netflix, and all those other apps. I dont know what you mean by "re-register" and "re-probe"
