Hello guys....
I am building a gaming PC (the purpose is only gaming no editing/rendering), but gaming at 1080p and High settings. My budget is somewhat between $300-350 for CPU only (without GPU). I have 3 options;
1) a new 4th Gen. Core i3 (4150), 81-M mobo, 8 gb RAM, 500 GB HDD, 400+W PSU (all parts will have warranty as well)
2) a used 2nd Gen. Core i5 (2500), 61-M mobo, rest of the parts almost similar. (I can save $40-50, for better GPU).
3) a used 3rd Gen. Core i7 (3770), and rest of the parts almost similar.

All these packages are within my budget. I am also planning to buy a GPU like GTX 960 or R9 380. Considering the above information, please advise which CPU should I buy? I personally think that since 4th Gen. Core i5 is out of my budget like $80-100 more, so that is out of the question, therefore Core i7 (3770) would be a future proof option.
Expert opinion only :)

i7, its the best cpu out of the bunch and will not need an upgrade for a few years.
If you can source a 3770 then by all means do it.

If you are worried about parts failure etc, the i3 isnt a bad choice.

You stated 300-350 cpu budget, but im assuming thats not USD, as thats 4th gen i5 money.

Thanks... Yeah I know there is always a risk of failure in used items but I think processor etc. has more life than a GPU so if it can work for next 4-5 years, it will be okay.... and sorry it's USD but the USD 300-350 budget is for the whole system (including processor, mobo, HD, RAM, PSU and chasis).
