Thumbnails for .mp4 files are not showing

Hello everyone! I have a problem my thumbnails for .mp4 videos are not showing. Other thumbnails work fine. Also when I enter a folder my HDD seems to try to load the thumbnail but it doesn't.

I've tried reinstalling VLC it didn't work, I tried editing the registry still nothing, also the folder options are not set to "Always show icons,never thumbnails"



I'd appreciate your help!

Hopefully your issue is with the default icon itself. If so it's an easy fix. Go to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html. Once there scroll down to mp4 and click it. It will download the registry fix for the default mp4 icon. Right click the .reg file and click Merge. That's all there is to it and hopefully takes care of your problem.

Nope, still not working. It defaulted to media player but still no thumbnails
