So lately I have been trying to over clock my AMD fx-6300 from its 3.5ghz stock speed to 4.5ghz. The mobo is a ASrock pro 3 r2.0, yeah, the high quality one... Not really. Anyways, whenever I bump the multiplier up I can achieve a stable overclock to 4.2 ghz without touching the voltage. Here's the kicker, I try to go any higher and INSTANT restart or BSOD. I have tried 4.3-4.5ghz with 3.1-4.2v variations... What can I do to make it stable? I can post a picture of my bios settings if that helps.

That is something that could be a possibility, but I highly doubt thats the case, because it will load windows and go past the MOBO screen, but as soon as its about to transition to the login screen thats when it dies. I have looked through those forums and they do all but help me reach farther. I have followed the instructions on the overclock.net and it works to the 4.2ghz point and then stops. the overclockers.com forum is a bit hard to use (almost useless, but still has good info), as all chips are different thus needing different settings.

New sub-question:
Does anyone know how to adjust the LLC on the ASROCK motherboards? or would I not need to for an overclock of this sorts?
