New Build: Black screen with large mouse cursor on the bottom right at boot

I just put together a mITX build, but when I boot it up, I get nothing but a black screen and a large immovable mouse cursor on the bottom right. It stays like that for a about a minute and then the cursor disappears. All the fans are running, but that's it.

CPU: AMD A10-7850k
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XN-WIFI
RAM: 2 x Corsair Vengeance LP 2133Mhz DDR3
PSU: be quiet! Pure Power L8

HDD isn't connected, running it in barebones to see if it will POST.
Any help is greatly appreciated..

What are the 4 digits after SN in the board's s/n (...SN1xxx...)?

Then CPU is supported. Try unplugging the power cord and removing the CMOS battery for a minute. Then leave single RAM module installed and start the board. Test each RAM and each slot. If still the same, I'd RMA both board and CPU.

I've done that, same problem. I guess it's time to RMA then.
How did you know that the APU is supported though? It would be helpful to understand how to do that especially with a build like this one (which was basically a gamble hoping that the mobo would work out of the box without reflashing).

Board is manufactured in 2015 so it does have the required BIOS version. Why not working... hard to say. Have you tested both HDMI and DVI-D? If yes, then probably new board and CPU will solve the issue.

Tried it with both HDMI and DVI-D yes. Interestingly though, I only have a TV "monitor" (which I'm using as a secondary display for my laptop setup) around so could that be the actual problem?
The mouse pointer I see is immovable though, so I'm doubting that.

UPDATE: Motherboard came back today after RMA. Turned out that despite being a newly manufactured motherboard, GIGABYTE still installed an old BIOS from the factory. It needed a BIOS update which was done through the reseller's tech department.
