What do i need to know about RAM?

I'm new with hardware stuff and i don't know what matters in searching for a new 4GB RAM. All i know is my motherboard is PCI-E1_16x .I already have 2x Silicon Power 2GB DDR3 1333(MHz i think) 13V.
