On my case. My Front panel Usb ports are Working but wont recognize anything plugged into them. i get the windows message saying its malfunctioned and it comes up in my device manager as unknown device. and this is anything i plug into it. my phone charger my flash drive my headset usb connector. and these things all work because if i plug them into the Mother board Usb ports they work just fine. I just want to fix this problem because currently my pc is sitting backwards on my desk just so i can plug everything into the back of the case. has anyone else ever expirenced this problem?

Solution
Check that the 20 pin USB3.0 cable is firmly in its header. It is a rather poor design with no locking means. I presume you have your USB3.0 drivers installed, since the rear ports are working. And please list the exact board in question.

The Mobo is the: EVGA Z97 Stinger Mini ITX Intel Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188158) Yes my drivers are installed and up to date. I made sure it was all the way in the other day. however i did notice what seemed like a slightly bent pin on the board but if thats the problem the entire port wouldn't work at all.

Actually! i just fixed it thanks to you! I checked the 20 pin connector and there was no bent pin (it must've been the lighting) and i realized i had it plugged in backwards the little slit in the board and the arrow on the connector weren't facing each other. I feel so stupid. thank you for recommending i check that though!
