I've known this issue for some time now, but I thought I might as well find out now why my motherboard isn't setting my RAM to the correct speed.
So I got G.Skill Ripjaws Z Series DDR3-1866 (16gb) plugged into an ASUS P9X79 LE motherboard (Supports that speed and more). I tried manually setting my RAM to the correct speed (1866), but my motherboard skips that speed. It goes from 1666 to 2000, I also tried setting it to AUTO but that set it at 1333. Anybody have any idea why?
