I'm wanting to connect three screens to my PC, but the GPU only has one hdmi port. I have one monitor used as my main that is using an HDMI cable, another monitor using a DVI cable that I'm connecting directly to the GPU, and a 55'' TV using an HDMI as well. Since I cannot connect both the main monitor and the TV at the same time, I went and ordered a HDMI splitter. Once all connected, the two monitor's display just fine, but the TV wont connect.

Why not? Thanks in advance.

You need to buy a graphics card that supports multiple monitors. HDMI signal cannot be "split", only multiplied, and your TV doesn't support the settings that your monitor was using. A GeForce 950 or Radeon 360 should be more than enough for your needs.
