Building my own computer and need a bit of advice. I think I matched a compatible case, mobo, cpu. I already have the GPU (AMD R9 270x) and PSU (Antec Platinum 550w) in my current PC and I'm going to use those since they're relatively new. I'm using a 550W Antec Platinum; will this be good enough for this or do I need something stronger? Is there any incompatibility to anything here? If so please let me know, I appreciate anyone's help on this. =) Ty

Solution
AMD says 500 watt with R7 270X.

Your PSU is alright.

Nvidia recommends 500 watt up to and including the GTX 980.

Of course even if 600 watt was recommended maybe it would had worked.
Especially since it's a desktop Intel-processor and not the most power-hungry AMD ones.
if you have a local micro center check to see when they start doing combo deals on the newer cpu and mb. on the cd rom drive. make sure if it a dvd drive that also a burner for the same money as a read only drive. you want to be able at some point if need be to burn a backup image of your hard drive when you get it set up right.
