Hello, I am new to Toms Hardware and had a couple questions.
Hopefully I will not get any trolls in this community.
I am currently running

4th gen i5 4440k processor
2x gigabyte radeon hd 7950
MSI B85-G41 PC mate motherboard

I was wondering if I upgrade my CPU to a I7-4790K would that work correctly with my GPUs and MOBO?
Any answers are welcome

Welcome to the community. Been here for years and i can quite say that there almost no people trolling here....anymore  heck you can't enjoy pop corn anymore...... :p

That aside that CPU will work with that mobo but i don't think you can OC that K processor on that board. Also just make sure you have proper power supply to support such setup

Lol, I didn't mean to place the k on the end. Must have thought I was talking about the 4790k.

Thank you for your quick response

Thank you for being polite and giving me an answer! :)

Well back in 2009 it was way worse. We often have this few guys with agenda and always posting stuff the way like Charlie of S.A. did in his article. But then mods swing around the hammer.....we still see people argue with their opinion from time to time but still in civil manner here. If you were looking for pop corn....go to WCCFTECH hahahah.

Anandtech forum was fun to look at as well. But the mod was active to monitor things over there to remind people and clean the thread so they stay focus on the subject. Or else lockdown will be in place :D
