When I plug my USB 3.0 wifi USB into the 3.0 port, I hear the normal windows connection sound but it doesn't do a full connection as it turns off the WiFi and shows a hardware malfunction message.

"One of the USB devices attaches to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.

Unknown USB Devices"

Not sure how I can fix this as I've ran the cd included with the ASRock X99 Extreme 4 that has the Intel USB 3.0 Driver. Anyone have any suggestions?

I had the same problem, my fix was so simple so here goes.... The usb 3.0 header fits into the motherboard both ways so when I installed mine had had done so the wrong way around.... That is of course if your talking about a front panel port

I just reinserted the CD that came with the product. Reinstalled everything. It reinstalled the 3.0 driver. I plugged the Netgear into the USB 3.0 and it showed the same error. Then seconds later it installed a driver. "Unknown Device installed" and says ready to use. Yet it still does not work as there's no option to pickup any internet networks.
