Hello, I've had my pc for about 10 months now with no problems at all but about a week ago I received a message from Nvidia saying there was a new driver to install, so I downloaded it through Geforce Experience but it didn't install and says "Nvidia Driver installer failed" after researching i've been trying to make it work for about a week now and it keeps getting worse, now none of the drivers will install, i've reverted back using system restore and it still wont work :/ Sorry I cannot provide screen shots as ever since this happened when i screen shot and paste it produces another random picture from my computer !! I showed my friend through screen sharing on skype that I took a screen shot of my desktop and pasted and it came up with a screen shot from Facebook D: Ive tried almost all fixes I can think of and i've installed 3rd party software that didn't work so I don't want to use any of them because if anything they just cause more problems.

Edit: When i try update any drivers through device manager or any program it comes up with "Not enough storage is available to process this command" but i've got over 400 GB storage remaining D:

Thanks for any responses :)

System specs:

GeForce 600 series (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680)

1TB storage

8GB Ram

Windows 7 (64-Bit)

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) 17-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz

If you don't have a recent driver installed for that card, you WILL get that message. You need the driver for the card to use DX as well as higher resolutions.
Have you run a virus scan recently? Update your virus pgm and its signatures and run a FULL scan. Probably wouldn't hurt to run malwarebytes too, although I doubt it would be a malware issue.

The only way to know for sure if the card is failing is to either test a different card in your machine, or test your card in a different machine.

I tried this and it didn't work, I don't have the driver installer disc but i'm 100% sure I have the right driver download from the website, so that is not an issue, i've linked a picture of what happens when I install the driver. Thanks for the help :)

That looks like the result you get when it can't recognize the Nividia card. I wonder if the card is failing. What happens when you run DDU and let Win update find the driver and install it automatically? Try that. After running DDU, boot back to Win and run update. It should find a Nvidia driver for your card. It may not be the latest, but if it does not find a driver, I'd be seriously thinking the card is failing.

In my edit I said that it says "not enough storage is available to process this command" which happens when windows tries to find an automatic update : / So it does find the driver but as I also stated in my edit i have over 400 GB free memory so storage is not an issue, my cpu is never over 10%,mostly lies at 5% and when google chrome is close my disk space is between 10-15% D: and if the card is failing do you mean I should get a new one ??

Edit: I've used some system check up programs and windows can identify all of my computer components, and there are no problems with them, the only problem it could find was that there was a lot of un-needed processes making my computer slower, other than that there were no problems D: so it might just be htat the graphics card is dying ;_; and ive only had it for about 8 months or so

Edit: Apparently its somthing to do with aero? or that my graphics card does not support Directx 9 or higher not sure here are the pictures to help you understand :3

Just realized my Norton ran out about a week ago but I don't have the money to renew so that will have to wait and that might be the problem : /

Here are a couple more images to try and help you see if these are common problems that can be fixed:
This is what happens when i try to install the drivers, it sets my resolution to 640x480 and sends me these messages, also my driver becomes an unknown in the device manager and there is no longer a display adapters section. Thanks again for your help :D

Yeah, all typical messages if there's no gfx driver installed. Sort of a carch-22.
Don't use Norton. It is big and problematic. If I were you, I'd uninstall it (if you can. it's hard to get rid of) and use something like Microsoft Securities Essentials. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download
It's free, works seamlessly with Windows, and is very good. I have been using it and Malwarebytes exclusively for years.

For what ever reason, which is not given :/ MSE will not install, doesnt say if there is a program preventing install or anything just wont work, malwarebytes got rid of some unwanted files but still didnt fix any problems, ive uninstalled norton I didnt know it was a problem it just came with my pc XD Ive tried all solutions and not a single one works i feel like i might just have a virus because I definatley have all the right drivers and correct components there is no reason for it not to install, trying other solution to make mine as normal and correct as possible has produced no results other than making my pc run a bit faster, but as i have no anti-virus and i only got this when norton ran out i guess its probably a virus ;_; Thanks for the help any way :D If norton is not a useful anti-virus what would you recommend? & I don't mind paying for it as long as its not too expensive :3
