Alright, so I went to my local computer guy and he after checking up my computer told me that my motherboard wasn't displaying my computer or smth. I am not really used to the terms, but incase I'm planning to change my motherboard is it necessary to buy new CPU/Processor along with it?

Also, I'm afraid that the computer guy is scamming me as I read on other thread that if my motherboard beeps after plugging my RAM stick aur other hardware out its working fine, but the computer guy declared motherboard faulty.

Your MSI 880 GME-35 is AM3; check for a micro-ATX (presuming your case is mATX) AM3+/AM3 motherboard and then check that your AMD PHENOM II X4 CPU is supported. The ASRock 970M Pro3 or the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 should be a good and inexpensive replacement.

Edit: What he says about your motherboard makes sense, but again have it tested elsewhere if you don't trust him. Problem is it might cost as much as a new budget motherboard.

So, my computer specifications are.
Motherboard - MSI 880 GME-35
CPU - AMD PHENOM II X4
GPU - MSI AMD RADEON HD 6770
RAM - 4GB DDR.

So, I basically wasn't trusting the technician because as I read online on website that if motherboard is beeping its good, but he told me that my motherboard is not good. So, I want to know that is the guy speaking legit or fooling me?

Also, I'm searching for a new mobo and how do I get to know if my processor fits the new mobo?

Also, I talked to the technician and he said that my Motherboard should be fixed within the expenditure of $20, but yet he is not even sure if it will be fixed. Let's see.

Thanks for the help, really appropriate the quick replies

I doubt MSI will fix it for $20 or less if it no longer is under warranty. Your motherboard has a video controller; did you try removing the discrete GPU and connecting the monitor directly to the motherboard? Your original post is unclear about the reason why the motherboard has to be replaced.

No my friend, it's a local technician who is fixing it, not MSI. But, I did try removing my GPU and connecting to onboard connection but still nothing happened. The local guy said he'll fix it within $20, yet he's not sure if he can fix it or not.

Somehow he says that it isn't able to be fixed, I don't know why but I was playing game on my computer and it suddenly has a black screen and never turned on. I don't even know how the mb got fucked up.

I'm really looking for it to get fixed up trying different places. Also, here is a model of mb can you let me know if it will support my CPU and GPU listed above?

Asus M5A78L-MLX3 for AM3+ Socket AMD MotherBoard Max. 16GB, DDR3 1866
