I'm looking to replace my current gt 730 with a gtx 750 ti. I have a 280 watt PSU in my system now, and the minimum for gtx 750 ti says is 300 watts.

Current specs are
I5-4460
Gt 730 2gb
8gb ram
1tb HDD

Hi superbeaver,

That's going to be VERY tight.

You might technically be able to power some versions of the 750ti (the ones that don't need an extra pcie 6-pin power cable), but honestly it would be better for your rig to upgrade your PSU while you upgrade your GPU as well.

If it says the minimum is 300W then obviously you can't run it with a 280W PSU. I would recommend upgrading to a 400+W PSU from a reputable brand like Cooler Master or Corsair.
While you may be able to boot it up when you try to put it under load (example while gaming) it will auto-shutdown.
