okay so recently i've been coming in to a samll amount of money and what best to spend it on my computer, i am thinking of either upgrading my cpu i5, mobo and ram cause the skylake is 1151pins but then i look at my video card and it is a nice card but could be better and i am thinking the 980ti what do you guys think i currently use my computer for games and small rendering tasks.

Current Hardware:
CPU: i5 4690
Mobo: asus maximus hero 7
Video: gtx 770 2GB asus dc edition
Ram: DDR3 16GB

Hi Cptmarko,

You'll notice the most bang for your buck if you get the GTX 980ti. Your CPU will be able to handle just about the entire throughput of the 980ti, and it will blow your current card away.

If you upgraded to the Skylake chipset you might see a minor upgrade in performance, but it wouldn't really shine until you could pair it with a better graphics card as well.
