4 gb+ 8 gb ram is possible or not. i need help please suggest me

. i have 4GB Single DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL11 SODIMM 204-Pin 1.35V/1.5V in my laptop is it possible to add one more 8 gb with it same clock speed. it take in count as 12 gb?

I do not recommend it.

If your RAM is the EXACT same type with the exception of the size there might be a 50/50 chance it works. If the system does boot at all there is a very high chance it will be unstable.
