Hello guys, new here! I have an Asus x555l Laptop consisting of Nvidia geforce 840m gpu with Intel core i7 5500u 2.4 Ghz cpu and 8 GB of ram. I was wondering will I be able to play smoothly upcoming games like Assasins creed Syndicate, Call of Duty Black ops 3 , Just Cause 3 and Starwars Battlefront ? I play games like GTA V, Dying Light, Far Cry 4,Battlefield Hardline at 1366*768 resolution with medium settings with 30+fps, only The witcher 3 on low settings at 720p and get around 20-25 fps. Will really appreciate any feedback, thanks in advance.

No problem. I wouldn't worry too much especially if you are working towards a desktop for your gaming. That is not a bad laptop by any means and should let you play until you get your desktop built.

Steam and Origin both have 48 hour return policies so you can test a game out and get a refund if it can't handle it. Which shouldn't happen very often.

Make sure to take full advantage and get what parts you can on black friday. There are some gem deals usually.

Gaming on a laptop is pretty rough honestly.

I have a really really nice laptop myself and it still doesn't hold a candle to my desktop that cost about half of what the laptop costs.

I would think that the games you listed should run like the rest of the games you listed in this generation though.

If you are really serious about gaming start saving up to build yourself a nice desktop and just use the laptop on the go.

I am planning to buy a pc in a year or two and already saving! Meanwhile I got this laptop 4 months ago because at the moment the space in my house is pretty cramped so mobility is a big issue, hence got the laptop so that I could work on it and play some games fluently enough for the time being. With the exception of witcher 3, most of the demanding games I have played run pretty smoothly to be honest, still with so many games due to come out soon there's always an anxiety that maybe the next game wont run so smoothly!

Anyway thanks for the reply, cheers mate!
