Recently researched about the asus card r9 280x 3gb version many forums are complaining of artifacting and glitches some of them also applied for RMA. I really like the performance of r9 280x but since so many problems related to glitches and artifacts i am really confused should i go for r9 280x (if there's a permanent fix of artifacting) or better stick with gtx 770 since there's not much performance difference on average it has difference of average 10 fps.
i still dont want to get in the heck and messes of fixing the problems i just want stable GC with long-life.

Solution
Both cards will be fairly similar, with the 770 edging slightly ahead. The trouble is the 2GB VRAM, which is proving insufficient these days.

They can be difficult to find, but a 4GB version of the 770 would be a great choice.

I myself, and a close friend of mine use the exact card you are talking about, the r9 280x 3gb. I have had 0 issues when it comes to this card, even at max settings it is incredible, I do not even have to overclock, and if I want to I just use the AMD GPU Overdrive which puts it to a safe spot where it functions amazingly. This card has been able to max almost any game I have thrown at it, GTA 5 is the exception, GTA 5 on all max settings I get around 40-60 fps. Anywhere where the card does not have to render a whole world, its 60 fps. I would never trade my card in, if anything im thinking about getting 2. and not to mention you can play games at 4k with this card using super virtual resolution. Its an amazing card for the price, a steal IMO

The card also on AVG when playing a maxed game runs about 40-45C, but you can drop that even lower by using your own thermal paste or customizing the heatsink to fit your needs.
