Why doesn't my PC reconize all my RAMs but CPU-Z does reconize all of them

I just bought a new 4gbs ddr3 HyperX fury stick to run dual channel with my old Corsair 4gbs one but my computer only shows 4gbs useable but when I check with CPU-Z it shows all of them. Is there anything wrong with my computer or my ram sticks

Btw : I'm using windows 7 Premium 64bit and my Motherboard is Gigabyte H61M so there is no RAM limited.

Solution
Will the rig run with only the Fury stick by itself? The Fury operate off PnP and not all of the H61 chipset mobos support it. If it doesn't run by itself, try updating the BIOS and try again. If it does run by itself, raise the DRAM voltage to 1.6 save, exit, shutdown, then try adding the older stick

They must not be compatible or the clock speeds are different or something. The computer isn't reading the full 8GB of ram so it has to be. CPU-Z detects that the memory stick is in there but the computer can't actually do anything with it.

Maybe my 2nd ram slot in my mother board is dead but the thing that's wondering me is CPU-Z says my memory is running single channel with 8gbs

you mixed and matched brands of RAM. While this will often work just fine, it will also not work at all. In short the RAM is there, the RAM slot works but your CPU/Motherboard can't make them work together.

When buying additional sticks of RAM to join an already existing stick you should always strive to get the same make and model to reduce the chance of this happening.

I think the problem is my mother board , it only has 2 ram slots. I tried to find the same model but it's so old and nobody sells that anymore
I tried to swap their position and tried use them one slot at a time. I saw that the old one only work on the frist slot and new one doesn't at all in any slot. I'm gonna go the store and check both my RAM and Motherboard

If the new stick doesn't work in either slot when plugged in all by itself than the problem is the stick. Either its dead (unlikely since CPUz can see it) or you bought a stick that isn't compatible with your motherboard. If you know the model # of your motherboard you should be able to look up the spec sheet for it that will give you a list of known compatible RAM.

The old stick not working in one slot isn't surprising. The slot it works in is slot 1 which must be filled for the computer to work.

I'm going to the shop tomorrow to check my RAM if it's dead they will give me a new one

My mobo memory's spec:
2 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory
Dual channel memory architecture
Support for DDR3 1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules
Support for non-ECC memory modules

The new stick is 1600 MHz so normally it has to slower the speed to run with my motherboard right ?

Luckily there's nothing wrong from my hardware. I updated BIOS , re-installed windows and know It's working with 8gbs RAM no problem. Thank you so much for your help
