Ive upgraded my system, in which everything was working, but after I updated the BIOS, and the pc rebooted, HDMI on my graphics card wouldnt work, even though the fans were running and the lights on the graphics card was on. The usb and the hdmi ports arent working.

Is the motherboard dead? Or would th BIOS be to blame, as the power buttons connected to the motherboard still work.

I was going to spark the cmos jumper, but my b85-g43 gaming didnt come with one, and the explanation in the manual is very vague

I forgot to add that you should "Clear CMOS" first.

Unplug the computer.
Short the 2 pins marked CLR_CMOS or something similar. (Check your instruction book) A flat bladed screwdriver works fine for this. You only need to short the pins for 5-10 secs. After this has been completed, restore power to the system and load setup defaults, as described above.

Try going into the BIOS and select "Load Optimized Defaults". Save and Exit. This should always be done after a BIOS update.

If you need to change any BIOS settings, just reboot, go into the new BIOS and do as you wish.
