I am currently looking at both the ASUS Strix GtX960 2gb version and a zotac amp 2GB amp edition. I prefer the ASUS due to a lower price and also the fact that it runs cooler and is supposedly less noisy
The problem is that i have a B75M-D3H mb with two slots occupied. i.e on the pcie x4 (Xonar Sound Card) and an SMC2 wireless network card in the adjacent pci slot(labelled pci2).
1) I would have to remove the existing pci card (warning from the ASUS website says that the card could run over 2 slots)
2)The DIMM slots would come in the way of the card due to the backplate. I have seen this concern being raised but not necessarily on this mb
Would be gr8 if anyone with this configuration or otherwise can confirm? I guess this pic might explain how my cards are populated
