Getting the parts together for a video editing, streaming and gaming build. Would like to use a 512 GB Samsung 850 Pro, WD Black 1 TB & 2 TB.

Is it possible to put the OS, programs and big games on the SSD, all other games on the 2 TB HDD and video files on the 1 TB HDD?? I use Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13 for video editing, Elgato HD60 for capturing gameplay. Dont know which programs to use for streaming just yet.

Hi Knicks,

Yes, you will be able to put your OS and 1 or 2 games on your SSD and the rest of your games and media on your larger HDD drives. You'll just need to be careful where you specify the installer path when you are putting new software on your PC.

If you use STEAM it includes an installation path prompt before you download your games, so some can be told to install to your SSD and others to your HDD.

Not worried about Steam. Worried about recording gameplay and commentary and putting it on the 1 TB drive. Maybe I will download Sony Movie Studio 13 on the 1 TB HDD.
