Hi, I have an HP pavilion dv4 laptop running windows 10 and I've had it for 3 years. Recently my laptop has started to have problems connecting to wifi. When it first was unable to connect to wifi, I went to Device Manager, uninstalled the wireless driver software, restarted my laptop and the problem was fixed. But after a few days my laptop again was unable to connect to wifi. For several weeks I have been uninstalling the wireless driver every few days and the wifi works temporarily but the wifi will stop working after using it for several hours, or it will fluctuate between being able to connect and not being able to connect. Initially when I turn on my laptop it will say networks are available but I will be unable to connect, then it will switch to saying there are no networks available. I am primarily using a university's wifi network so the network is not the problem. The problems have been consistent across several wifi networks that I have tried connecting to. Thanks in advance!

There isn't much to troubleshoot, if you're having this connectivity problem with multiple networks. Chances are high that your NIC is failing, still, if you want to, you can try using a different utility (like Intel ProSet), instead of Windows. If you're unsuccessful in reviving your NIC, then get a USB (3.0 if you got the slot for it) WiFi adapter.
