I have a hard drive from my laptop I have connected via SATA cable. It shows in the bios, shows in device manager, but not in my computer. Therefore, I have no way to see what's on it. =/ I have been searching for a long time and still can't figure it out. I thought about updating drivers on the hard drive to see if that fixed it, but I was worried about it deleting content or corrupting files. Also, in device manager, it says the device is working properly. Please, if anyone knows how I can make it show up I'd be ever so grateful!

Hi there TreeTree,

You should really provide some more information on the issue you are facing.
What is the model of the drive? In case it is 3.5'' you need to use power cable as well.
You need to check whether and how it is recognized by Disk Management as well. In case it has damaged partitions/file system you will need to use some data/partition recovery software.

Cheers,
