Here is my theoretical PC build, please give me any advice / corrections you may have!

CPU: AMD FX 8-Core Black Edition FX-8350

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

GPU: AMD Powercolor HD 7990

Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0

HDD/SDD: Going to use 500GB from old computer: but looking for best value SSD for future upgrade

Case: Corsair Carbide Series 300R

Ram: I have 12GB of DDR3 ram from my old computer, but looking for best value upgrade with future overclocking in mind

Disk Drive: from my old computer, works fine, don't use it that often

Wifi Card: Would prefer a solid Ethernet connection, but that's not possible all the time in my location. Best value wifi card suggestions?

Thank You!

I'd swap the CPU with a 9590 and the cooler with a Lepa. Swap the mobo out for a Crosshair V Formula-Z and enjoy the overclocking madness you've just opened the doors to. :p

This is why i posted, What parts should I swap for better performance at similar price point? I'm fine with you telling me it sucks just at least provide some advice on improvements haha (I'm looking at you CTurbo)

I got the powercolor 7990 for $50 from someone who doesn't know what it was... It had never been used and still had the shrink wrap on it.

So the Corsair Carbide 300r isn't big enough? What case would you suggest?
And I can't get away with 650W?

Its not the 300r isn't big enough - I'd want something with a lot more preinstalled cooling .
I'm running cf 280x's which is pretty much a 7990 & I know how hot they can run.
Deepcool kendomen always a good choice for a card like that IMO.

650w with an fx 8 core & a 7990 ??
No I'd say not enough mate - entirely capable of pulling in excess of 500w on the 12v rail.

You'd probably get away with it with a sub 100w i5.

The craigslist here has a wealth of people who know considerably less than I do, which is saying something.

I got a new 750w evga supernova power supply for $20.

I got the FX-8350 for $65 out of a prebuilt gaming rig purchased 2 months ago

Already have 12gb of vengeance ddr3 ram

I'm getting the case and motherboard off newegg
