I put in my CPU slanted and now I think its broken!

Ok so I was planning to build a gaming computer for about a month. So I had brought all the parts and the cpu I had brought was the Amd Athlon X4 860k. So after all the parts came in, I just started the build, but when I put in the cpu, I kinda didn't put it in all the pins all the way and closed it and I heard a bad cringe sound. But after that I fixed and went on with the build. But when I was done with the build. I tried to power on the computer and nothing not even the fans would start. So now I need to know whats the problem is it my cpu or something else.

Are you sure you put the cpu in the socket correctly?? Putting a cpu in the wrong way and a "bad cringe" sound is not a good sign at all.. Did you by chance break some pins?? Also a parts list of the system might be helpful.

The most obvious step to follow would be to remove the CPU and check all the pins... if none is broken, they may be bent... but you may be able to straighten with a very thin needle nose plier, with jewelers tweezers, the empty tip of a mechanical pencil.. check the thread for more options.

FYI that type of socket is called a ZIF socket. Zero Insertion Force, if aligned correctly it should go into the socket with just gravity.
