I'm planning to build a low budget pc mostly for designing t-shirts, mugs, website graphics, and maybe a few photo editing as a sideline. Currently I'm on a tight budget and these are the specs I'm after (costs about $400 i think, not from US):

G.Skill RipJaws X (Dual) 2x4gb 1600 CL9 (F3 1600C9S 8GXM)
Seagate 1tb (ST1000DM003) 64mb sata
i3 4170
Asus H81M-D
Samsung 20" (S20 D300BY/FY/NF) LED
A4tech (KR 8372) keyboard USB + Mouse
Aerocool (Strike X) 500watts 80+ Bronze

Will these be sufficient to run Photoshop CS5? Probably concurrent with Illustrator. Anything else I should consider?

Yep, that all looks good. That power supply isnt very good quality but you dont need a 500W power supply for your needs, so i would recommend something like a Corsair CX430 instead. Other than that, it all looks good. Ive got pretty much the same CPU and its awesome, very good for an i3 and will suit your needs perfectly. :)

Noted on the psu. Btw I did not include any gpu in the setup, would I get good performance without it? I could get a $60 (est.) gpu which is the GT730. Thanks for the reply!
